Name of character: Kamui
Series: Gintama
Brief description of character’s life: Kamui is of the Yato clan, and is the son of Umibouzu, one of the clan’s strongest members. He is the older brother of Kagura and Master of Housen. However, he attempted to kill his father to prove his strength to himself and the rest of the clan. After losing and having his life spared because of his sister’s cry for help, he vanished from his home without a trace. His amazing and brutal fighting skills allowed him to become Captain of the 7th Division of Harusame’s Thunder Guns, the most powerful combat unit within the terrorist group, and Overlord of Yoshiwara.
Personality traits: Kamui believes that the Yato are supposed to live on the battlefield. Because of this belief, he shows no pity towards family or subordinates as a sign of weakness is unacceptable. He tried to revive the abandoned tradition of a Yato clansmen killing their own parent to prove their strength, although failed In doing so.
According to Umibouzu Kamui had not always been passionate of the Yato blood and fighting, and that his own sister wanted to reform him before it was too late. Despite this, he pays respect to the opponents he kills by sending them off with a smile. This leads to his childish and misleading behavior, as he will look to overly friendly to many people. Sarcasm is also a huge characteristic in Kamui. He can be just as hungry, as sarcastic however.
He also doesn’t kill children and dislikes killing women. The reason behind this habit of his is on the pretense that all children have the potential to become strong, to fight him presumably, and that women can birth strong children.
Age: early 20s (not specified)
Abilities and Weapons: Kamui doesn’t have powers so to speak. Due to his clan’s blood and history, the Yato are born with incredible strength, speed, stamina, and intuition. Whether born male or female, all Yato are made for battle as soon as they are born. Although they do resemble humans, their red hair and blue eyes give them away as Yato clansmen.
7 October 2011 ♥ 1As Scott trotted his way towards the city, he had thought about the countless Zombie flicks he and friends would watch during the weekends. More or less they sucked, but that didn’t stop them from crashing in the living room with popcorn. He couldn’t compare any of those movies to where he was now. Dawn of the dead? Nope, he has yet to even encounter a zombie. Other then that there was no back story! He wasn’t some middle class adult with a random zombie outbreak. The outbreak had already begun, and Scott was only 24.
‘Zombieland’? Nope. “That would be at least 10 times more badass then this place.” Maybe there would be some highlight to his day in the city. Then again, they had the advantage of Bill Murray’s house. Rest assured, the towering city in front of him gave no sign’s of Bill Murray’s house. He clutched the strap on his Bass Case, much lighter now that it lacked his Bass. A sword and Coke Zero rested in it… For those hard times of course.
He however was clutching the strap, anxious. Anxious of what was to embrace him in this city. Zombies? Crazy lickers from Resident Evil? What was going to happen… To him.
“This sucks!” He whined. “I’m going to die alone here…”
“Hm?”

Walking the sandy planes if the desert was no fun alone, after two days of killing those worms it got so boring. Kamui decided to head for them mines, yet that too would just get in the way since it was dark. “This place is no fun.” the red head tried to kind himself a great place to let lose, but everything in this area was fartoo weak. Then those mountains looked like it’d be fun to scale, but eating raw meat sucked when it came time for dinner.
Oh, but now there’s man walking off the side of the road. From the looks of it, he had just came down the very same mountain, hadn’t he? Perhaps he might just be what Kamui was looking for~ With his braid at one with the wind, the Yato waved his hand, giving a smile to the human walking in discomfort~ Yeah, he’d attract something, but he’d just kill it anyway.
“Oi~!”

All these sudden question! What was he playing at? Such a care free attitude to the rather grim predicament they were both in. Naoto almost didn’t care that he didn’t deem her worthy of a fight, if he considered her weak then so be it. The defense of her own pride didn’t rank high on her agenda right now. Survival before ego. “Yeah…they’re…dead, I think.” Naoto didn’t want to throw the ‘Z’ word about, surely that was impossible and would only make her look insane. “Planet?”
The young woman paused, well despite the apocalyptic scenery going on she presumed they were at least still on…”Earth?” Then the further onslaught of questions came, each one more ridiculous than the next. “No”…”I don’t—”…”I thi—”…
“Please will you just be quiet!”
Struggling to get a word in edge ways, the usually placid female broke out into a stern tone. Who did he think he was? She wasn’t just some donkey he could ride out into the desert!
“Ah boo! You’re screaming again. When you scream, you just show everyone how much of a puppy you are. You know what they say~ All bark and no bite!” It was safe to say that Kamui was even annoying himself. This human woman just cared about the weak shits walking around rather than him. “Whatever~ But, looks like you just caught their attention silly.”

Her foolish screaming led the surrounding creatures to turn their attention to the two now stuck in the middle. Now each and everyone of them were taking their time, sluggishly creeping upon them. “You’re not really smart, are you? Raising your voice will only call them closer.” Not that this was a bad thing, if she didn’t want to fight, then he could easily takeout a few hundred or so in her place. :Ah~ah! They look hungry too! There’s even that huge one in the back. Leave that one for me, okay~?”

Intimidating? A challenge? Was he attempting to lure her into a fight or something? That was the last thing Naoto needed right now. Didn’t he realize they were surrounded by enemies, monsters? Things that wanted to eat them!? Why bother antagonizing people who were supposedly on the same side as you? The notion seemed ridiculous to her and the young blade maiden had hoped that he wouldn’t follow after her.
However, he did, which only made her accelerate her pace. The humming and general stalkish behaviour didn’t succeed in causing an anoyance, though it did unsettle Naoto quite a bit. She was not the type to be grateful for company she was unfamiliar with, and soon halted her strides to return her attention towards the persistent red head.
“What do you want?”
“Mhm mm hm mhm~— OH!” Well, that was blunt question. “Can’t a guy just walk were he likes? I’m not following you or anything~ I’m just walking in the same direction. Besides, there’s a lot of those old people looking things around us. They’re so annoying with how they try to bite me and all. Oh hey! Do you know where we are? What planet is this? I’m looking for my crew or perhaps a fight. Do you want to fight? Nah, you look too weak, there’s no point.” Five minutes later~

“This place is boring!~ Hey, carry me if it gets really hot okay? Is that a city, what’s it’s name? Can we go kill strong people in there. What’s that phone. I remember when I had a phone like that when I woke up…I smashed it!” He’s going to keep going on and on.

Trash? Was he referring to her in that statement? A tinge of irritation swept through Naoto for a brief moment, but her steady composure enabled her to fight it off quickly. She’d hardly call it ‘following him’ so much as happen to be heading in the same direction. In either case, he didn’t seem like he was going to be helpful so…brushing him off would be the more sensible scenario.
“No.”
She responded quietly, turning her back to the young man. She probably wielded her blade as accurately as one, but that didn’t mean the title was relevant. So now he knew what he needed to know, maybe she’d be spared the further inappropriate insults.
“Ah~ How boring. Just a no? Couldn’t you have done better than that, though? It’s hardly intimidating at all.” Kamui’s boredom started to get to him a little. This woman didn’t look all too powerful either. The humans of this world were also a drag as all they did as moan, groan, and attack him endlessly. Each and everyone of them were also weak as hell. “You talk, unlike the others of this planet. So, I was hoping you’d be a challenge…guess not.” That’s right, he has no idea what’s going on and lost his phone on the way.

“Hey, don’t just walk away from me like— Tch, no fun!” The red head gave his a shrug and continued to walk behind the strong willed female as though nothing has happened. A smile remained on his face as he mumbled a slight tune. Least to say, he’s trying to annoy the hell out of her.
10 September 2011 ♥ 4Why is he still going on about that?! Her irritation was slowly rising and would eventually exceed levels of proper sanity. But she continued to smile, forcing it just a little bit more to help remind herself just who—and what—she was dealing with.
“I guess its a good thing I’m not his woman then.” Otae saw no reason to allow him to keep thinking that anyways. If she was Gintoki’s property, didn’t that put her in danger? Ahh, but her logic was most likely flawed, though she hardly realized that. It was beyond her understanding that it would have been better to have Kamui consider her something precious of Gintoki’s, as weren’t precious things what helped strengthen people the most? She had possibly made a devastating mistake.
What a nice fake smile she had. If he didn’t know any better, she might as well be just like him. Although his smile was less forced than hers at the moment, he could tell from the vain about to pop on her forehead after all. If she wasn’t Gintoki’s or maybe even not ugly he’d consider her as a bride. Are all human females this ugly?

Opening his eyes to expose the blue hues of the Yato clan, Kamui glanced up to Otae with a slight smile. His thought on capturing her were quite present, but he’d rather not carry any extra baggage along with him. “Well, if you don’t want to have some fun, I suggest getting lost now. The rest of my clan won’t take to likely to a girl like you. They might even find you attractive…but flat.” Oh Kamui, always so out spoken~

Gintoki’s…woman? Oh, that made her blood boil. But Otae knew how strong and dangerous this young man was and knew better than to make enemies with him. Hopefully her temper would hold up long enough though. ”Ah, I’m afraid I’m only an acquaintance of Gintoki’s. My bro—” She immediatly stopped, turning somewhat pale. Otae wasn’t sure what he knew or how much and therefore didn’t want to mention her brother in fear he might get hurt.
“My, he’s such a bother though, Gintoki is. Such a large fanbase for someone so disgusting as him~”
Oh, it looks like he hit a nerve, and it wasn’t a any small one either. From the looks of it, she wasn’t too bright about the situation. Mentioning something about her brother who most likely had no relation— No, she did oddly resemble that idiot boy with glasses…Ah~ that weakling was her brother? Trying to stop her words from blurting out anymore information on him, huh? It’s okay though, he’s a weakling that was hardly worth his time.

“So his own woman is speaking ill of him? That’s not something he should now, hm~? I’ll keep it a secret until I have my fight with him, then. Maybe It’ll make him stronger before I kill him.”
10 September 2011 ♥ 9“…..Kamui.” Oh yes, Otae was afraid and cautious of this young man.
“Ho ho~ You must be Gintoki’s woman? My, does he have a large female following~? Too bad he has not a single grain or tease.” Teasing is what he does best, and passively insulting.

Which is a surprise to say the least. None of you are Yato clansmen, which is rather annoying to know you’re being followed by trash. Not a strong looking one in the group, nope. Any of you samurai?
